This morning in Abu Dhabi, the second annual dialogue of the Trends Research and Consulting Center kicked off under the theme 'Technological Diplomacy in the Middle East and North Africa.' The event is held in strategic partnership with the Cybersecurity Council and 23 national and international entities. The dialogue brings together a select group of researchers and global experts from the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), Google, OpenAI, and G42, as well as academic institutions such as Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, Khalifa University, and New York University Abu Dhabi. Participants in the dialogue will explore, through three main sessions, the latest developments in the fields of artificial intelligence and technological diplomacy. The agenda includes discussions on strengthening US-Gulf partnerships in innovation and advanced technology, the geopolitical dimensions of artificial intelligence and its impact on the balance of power and international relations, and the role of soft power through AI and digital infrastructure in building bridges for communication and sustainable development.
